Rachelle Sorin

Rachelle received her Bachelor of Arts Honours in History at the University of Winnipeg in 2011. She recently earned her Graduate certificate in Indigenized Expressive Arts at the Winnipeg Expressive Arts Therapy Institute in 2022. Rachelle is currently completing her Masters in Social Work at the University of Manitoba. 

As a former youth in care, Rachelle has a special interest in working with youth facing multiple challenges and barriers. She has volunteered for Voices-Youth in Care Network and United Way Winnipeg as a public speaker to share her personal experiences transitioning from foster care to independence. Rachelle serves as a Board of Directors member for the Sunshine House, a community drop-in and resource centre focusing on harm reduction and social inclusion. She is a student member of the Manitoba College of Social Workers.
